An efficient palladium-catalysed amination of aryl chlorides in presence of 1,3-bis-(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)imidazolinium chloride

1,3-bis-(2,6-diisopropylphenyl) imidazolinium chloride (SlPr center dot HCl), a precursor for an N-heterocyclic carbene, was examined as a pro-ligand in C-N coupling reactions. Thus SlPr center dot HCl associated with a palladium catalyst was found to be efficient for the amination of aryl chlorides under mild conditions.
