摘要

The synthesis of functionalized hyper-cross-linked polymers (HCLPs) with hierarchical porosity is anticipated for the efficient and rapid adsorption of aromatic compounds from aqueous solution. Herein alkoxy (methoxy and phenoxy) groups were employed as functional groups and uploaded on the surface of the HCLPs, and hence alkoxy-modified HCLPs were synthesized and their adsorption was comparatively evaluated from aqueous solution using salicylic acid (SA) as the adsorbate. The results reveal that the uploaded alkoxy groups are helpful for equilibrium adsorption due to polar matching, and hydrogen bonding is possibly formed between the polymers and SA. In particular, the hierarchical microporous and mesoporous structures are favorable for the kinetic adsorption because of the rapid diffusion of SA in the mesopore channels.
