摘要

Raman spectroscopy is a fast technique providing molecular and structural characteristics of analytes, while laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) is powerful for elemental analysis. In this work, a novel hybrid LIBS-Raman instrument (LIBRAS) was developed, which is capable of providing both atomic emission spectra as well as vibrational spectra of polyatomic ions. LIBS and Raman signals were recorded simultaneously with respective 1064 and 532nm pulse beams emitted from the single pulse laser. Meanwhile, one echelle spectrometer, equipped with an electron multiplying charge-coupled device detector, was applied to collect all LIBS and Raman signals. Mineral samples were measured by this novel hybrid setup, with their main elements and molecular vibrations being studied.
