摘要

This paper presents a novel quarter-mode packaged notch filter with modes suppressions of up to 80 GHz in substrate-integrated waveguide technology. The location of the notch frequency can be controlled by adjusting the ratio of the side lengths of the cavities. Transmission zeros were designed to improve the out-of-band performance. The multi-layer structure using photosensitive polymer Benzocyclobutene was illustrated. The packaged filter exhibits close agreements between the simulated and measurement results. It has the advantages of compact configuration and easy integration with other millimeter wave devices. The proposed concept is attractive for designing miniaturized and high-performance-packaged filters for three-dimensional millimeter wave transceiver systems.
