摘要

Spatial modulation (SM) has recently attracted plenty of academic interest due to its low complexity and high energy efficiency. However, the performance of SM transmission in dispersive channels is still limited due to the strong intersymbol interference (ISI) caused by frequency-selective fading. In this paper, we propose a novel a priori information-aided iterative equalization scheme for single-carrier SM (SC-SM) systems. Unlike the conventional equalization schemes for SC-SM, the proposed receiver manages to utilize the soft information from the decoder to improve the equalization performance, which eliminates the ISI in an iterative manner and leads to significant performance gain. Simulations show that the proposed system is capable of outperforming state-of-the-art equalization schemes while only a limited amount of complexity is required.
