摘要
Damage and crack are the key factors affecting the dam's safety under seismic excitation. Taking the Koyna arch dam as an example, two different forms of seismic reinforcement schemes were presented. According to the plastic-damage and crack model of concrete and also the embedded model of reinforced concrete, the seismic responses of concrete gravity dams were calculated under different reinforcement schemes. The results verify the necessity and practicality of arranging reinforcement for strengthening seismic resistance at weak parts of the dam.
