摘要

A parameter-optimized (4,4) stencil-based symplectic finite-difference time-domain method [PO-SFDTD(4,4)] is proposed to tailor the numerical dispersion behavior according to different specifications such as zero dispersion error at designated directions or zero dispersion anisotropy, either at a certain frequency or for a given bandwidth. The effect of the proposed parameter optimization on numerical stability is also discussed. Compared to the conventional higher-order symplectic methods, the proposed PO-SFDTD(4,4) method yields better flexibility in handling dispersion and anisotropy errors.
