摘要

In the presence of some redox-active ligands, such as rho-phenylenediamine derivatives and lariat types of azacrown ethers all bearing dipicolylamino groups, the peroxyoxalate chemiluminescence (PO-CL) was effectively quenched by the electronic interaction between the high-energy intermediates and the ligands due to control of the CIEEL process. The addition of certain metal cations suitable for complexation with the ligands controls the electron donating abilities of the ligands leading to CL operation by permitting the CIEEL process. The combination of the metal cations and the ligands that turns the CIEEL on or off almost agreed with the known complexations and host-guest interactions between them in spite of some exceptions due to different conditions. Based on these results the present chemiluminescence system will be useful for qualitative detection of such the coordination interactions.
