摘要

The density, viscosity, and vapor pressure for binary mixtures of tricyclo [5.2.1.0(2.6)] decane (JP-10), a high-energy density hydrocarbon fuel, with diethyl carbonate are presented. Excess volume, V-m(E), and viscosity deviation, Delta(eta), for the binary mixtures have been calculated. Positive values of V-m(E), negative values of Delta(eta), and positive deviations, from Raoult's law for the vapor pressures are observed. The deviation results are discussed in terms of the changes of molecular interactions in the mixtures, and they are fitted with the Redlich-Kister equation. The viscosities have also been correlated with several semiempirical equations. These physical property data and calculations provide valuable information on the development and application of new high-energy density hydrocarbon fuels.
