摘要
This thesis aims to dissecting the film Carol from the perspective of queer theory and displays how the film indicates con-cepts about queer theory. It illustrates how the film challenges heterosexual hegemony by Carol and Therese’s relationship withtheir husband and boyfriend, questions masculinity and femininity by Carol’s husband and herself, and pursues harmonious coexis-tence by Carol and Therese’s happy ending.
