摘要

A unified formula for calculating rotational response of Front End Accessory Drive (FEAD) systems is developed so as to be suitable for different layouts. Bases on the presented formula, a general purpose software for calculating dynamic performance for a FEAD system with any layout is developed. The dynamic performances of a FEAD system are natural frequencies, belt steady-state tension, rotational response of driven pulley and tensioner arm, dynamic tension of belt span, maximum hub load. The dynamic performances for two FEAD systems with different layouts are calculated using the presented program and some of the calculation results are compared well with experiments, which validate the feasibility of the presented unified formula.
