摘要

RANS simulations of a tandem nozzle supersonic wind tunnel with perforated plates installed in the settling chamber are presented in this paper. For the sake of obtaining more insight of the flow propagation throughout a newly built supersonic wind tunnel, numerical simulations of the flow field are performed with different numbers of perforated plates installed in the settling chamber using three flow models. These models represent axisymmetrical flow, azimuthal symmetry on a 30 deg tunnel segment and fully three-dimensional simulations. The influence of flow models to the resultant flow field and the effect of perforated plate to flow quality in the test section are qualitatively analysed. Thereafter the numerical results are compared with the experimental data. Furthermore, special attention is focused on the evolution of separated flow including supersonic and subsonic ingredients passing by perforated plates in the settling chamber, using the fully three-dimensional simulation. The behaviour of flow propagation within this region is quantitatively described. Through this study, the influence of different flow models to resultant flow field solutions has been quantitatively demonstrated, and also valuable experience has been acquired for the design of perforated plates in the application of supersonic wind tunnel flow quality improvement.
