摘要
Active gas melt laser cutting is the most commonly used method for phase hardened parts (PHP), because of the high strength of the material after hot stamping. In this article, the finite element analysis (FEA) and a series of experiments are carried out to predict temperature distribution, periodic striation, and microstructure evolution. Finally, a new sheet laser cutting modeling and active gas melt laser cutting heat source modeling are proposed, and they explain why periodic striation comes about; the optimal parameters for the lowest surface roughness are found; the microstructure distribution of the heat-affected zone (HAZ) is determined. It is found that there is a good correlation between the simulation and experimental results.
