摘要

This article suggests the use of high temperature heat pipes application for development to provide renewable energy. A high temperature heat pipe is a device which exhibits an extremely high effective thermal conductivity at temperatures of about 450 to 1000 degrees C by means of two-phase fluid flow with capillary circulation. It has the features of high thermal conductivity, good isothermal performance, automatic adjustment of heat flux, reversible heat flow direction, thermal diode and thermal switch characteristics, a structure allowing flexible arrangement and high reliability. This paper considers using heat pipes as receivers for a high temperature solar thermal power system, and describes several heat pipe biomass gasifiers for power generation biomass gasification systems. The special operating conditions of these renewable energy systems are analyzed. The structure and principles of these heat transfer devices by use of high temperature heat pipes are expounded, and potential for their development and application prospect are assessed.
