摘要

Numerical-simulation codes are the basic tools for designing a free-electron X-ray laser (FEL). We develop a quasi-one-dimensional code based on the reduced model for the FEL and implement this code using the MATLAB IDE. The model employs the envelope description of the transverse dynamics of the laser beam and full longitudinal particle motion. We benchmark our code by comparison with the GENESIS output. Our results show good agreement for the parameters of the 43 nm self-amplified spontaneous emission (SASE) of the FEL up to saturation.
