摘要

Numerical simulations of wooden structures regarding structural features using the finite element method require closeto-reality material models, suitable element technologies and reliable path following algorithms. The present paper discusses anisotropic continuum material models for ductile failure behaviour of wood. Furthermore, an anisotropic interface material model for wood is developed to describe tension cracks and shear planes. The evaluation of the quality of the formulations is assessed on the basis of comparisons between the results from simulations and experimental investigations. It is shown, that the described models can be used for a close-to-reality evaluation of the structural behaviour of wooden structures in the context of the finite element method.
