摘要

Various systems or tools have been developed to support Japanese language learning from different viewpoints. However, most of the existing systems make no distinctions among users, and provide the same learning contents to all the users even if their Japanese abilities are quite different from each other. This paper proposes a framework with which I try to develop a Japanese language learning navigator based on the estimation of the learner%26apos;s linguistic ability structure. Specifically I first define a model to describe a learner%26apos;s Japanese ability, then attempt to capture the delicate features of a particular Japanese learner based on the model, and finally extract appropriate learning contents from the Web for the learner only. The principal difference between this work and the previous studies lies in the fact that each learner is able to obtain his or her own and customized learning contents in a particular way. This framework is still in the design stage and hence needs further investigation to accomplish the implementation.
