摘要

Dye-sensitized solar cells(DSSCs) have been regarded as a potential candidate for the next generation solar energy conversion technologies due to their low cost, facile device fabrication process and high energy conversion efficiency. However, the pressing problems were high cost and limited stability of Pt counter, in this regard, the alternative counter electrode(CE) was desired.Several novel biochar derived from waste water hyacinth were developed by the hydrothermal carbonization and pyrolysis in this work.Structure, specific surface area and stability were performed to characterize the biochar. Then the as-prepared products were applied as CE materials in DSSCs and reveal a superior electrochemical activity and high PCEs of 6.14%.The biochar also can conduct a functional additive in anaerobic digestion(AD) that improve the biogas yield(528 mL/g VS) and accelerate degradation of organism(67.25%).This biochar material obtained from the simple and low cost method open a new avenue in upcoming energy crisis.
