  In the experiment, we change the dosage of laccase, time, pH, dosage of mediators, for comparing the paper tensile index and tear index after modification.Experiments show that laccase/histidine optimum reaction conditions are: paint dosage of enzyme1U · g-1 , reaction time 8 h, pH value 4.5, histidine dosage 1%.Laccase/ glutamic acid optimum reaction conditions are : the dosage of laccase 1.5 U · g-1, reaction time 8 h, pH 5, glutamic acid dosage of 2%.From this experiment we can know that, at optimum reaction conditions, laccase/histidine treated tensile index was 10% higher than that of laccase/ glutamic acid, tear index increased by 9%, and laccase/ glutamic acid treated tensile index was 21% higher than that of control pulp, tear index increased by 18%.Taking the economic benefits into account, laccase/glutamic acid can take the place of laccase/histidine used to improve the performance of the secondary fiber.
