摘要

Polymer particles having amino groups were prepared by the seed polycondensation of hexamethylenediamine (HDA) with alpha,alpha'-dichloro-p-xylene (XCl) in the presence of poly (styrene-N-(hydroxymethyl) acrylamide) particles (PS-HMA) in aqueous alkaline solution. The amino content of the particles was dependent on the amount and the methylene length of diamine. By the polycondensation, voids were formed within the particles; the degree of void depended on the weight ratio of monomer to seed particles. The particles having voids were also prepared using a tertiary diamine, N,N,N',N'-tetramethylethylenediamine, instead of HDA as a monomer. The particle shape was not changed by treating only HDA in the absence of XCl, meaning that the formation of polyamine made the voids within the particles. TEM observations, showed that the prepared polyamine was localized at edges of voids in the particles.
