摘要

Phase-to-phase switching impulse performance plays an important role in the design of converter station. Lhasa converter station of Qing-Tibet Plateau DC Interconnection Engineering will be built at the altitude approximately 4000 m. Discharge voltage of air gap will be decreased sharply when the altitude increase. In order to solve the problems of air gap selection and altitude correction of the project, the real tower test research of the typical electrodes of converter station under phase-to-phase switching impulse voltage were experimentally performed respectively both at flat area and high altitude area. The test results of phase-to-phase switching impulse discharge performance were reported. Altitude or weather correction coefficients were given in accordance with the existing standards and test results based on different altitude were fitted to liner form formula. It indicated that the phase-to-phase average discharge field intensity of high altitude was lower about 40 percent than flat area, and correction error of the liner form formula is lower than that of the existing standards, by which the absolute value of correction error can be controlled at less than 4 percent.
