Taking liposome as the model of biomembrane, a novel method with balanced dialysis and reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) has been established to identify active components of Traditional Chinese Medicines (TCMs) which is used to study the interactions between components of Danggui Buxue Decoction(DBD) and biomembrane, the factors have also been investigated in influencing the interactions between the combined prescription of DBD and biomembrane such as the dentiny of biomembrane, the pH, the buffer system and adding cholesterol and so on. The result shows that seven components of DBD have obvious interactions with biomembrane, and the dentiny of biomembrane shows significant impact on the interaction, the effect of pH is mainly on acid components, Other influencing factors are less important. The work above provides a rapid, simple and accurate method to screen the active components and study intestinal absorption of TCMs.
