An extension of one direction in Marty%26apos;s normality criterion

We prove the following extension of one direction in Marty%26apos;s theorem: If is a natural number, and is a family of functions meromorphic on a domain all of whose poles have multiplicity at least , then the normality of implies that the family %26lt;br%26gt;{vertical bar F-(k)vertical bar/1+vertical bar f vertical bar(alpha) : f is an element of F} %26lt;br%26gt;is locally uniformly bounded.
