摘要

The magnetic phase diagram of CexNd1-xB6 (x = 0.5 and 0.8) has been studied by powder and single-crystal neutron diffraction. The magnetic structure in the ground state corresponds to the commensurate wave vector k(com) = ((1)(4), (1)(4), (1)(2)), reminiscent of, but not identical to, phase III in CeB6. For x = 0.5, it coexists with an extra type-I AFM component. Other ordered phases occurring at finite temperature or in applied magnetic fields are analyzed in term of a competition between exchange and quadrupole interactions.
