D* MESON PRODUCTION AND F-2(c(c)over-bar) IN DIS AT HERA

I calculate F-2(c (c) over bar) within two dipole models: GBW and CGC. I compare predictions with the last data from HERA. In the GBW and CGC saturation model the heavy quark contribution to F-2 was considered in the form of the c (c) over bar pair production. I calculate inclusive charm production in terms of F-2(c (c) over bar) and diffractive charm production in terms of sigma(D(c (c) over bar))(r). I find good agreement with data both in diffractive and inclusive case. F-2(c (c) over bar), measured by HERA, is an important issue in the determination of parton distribution functions (PDFs).
