摘要

A two stage emergency load shedding algorithm was developed to ensure safe control along with economic operation. The first stage improves the solvability of the power flow equation while the second stage achieves the requested load margin for voltage stability. The voltage weak node set is identified using the tangential plane of the voltage stability boundary. A successive optimization algorithm improves solvability of the power flow equation, whose objective is to minimize the load shedding and improve transient stability with fast calculational speed using the load of the voltage weak node set as the optimization variables. The algorithm is validated by simulations of the IEEE-39 system and the Shanghai power grid.
