Based on the measured data, after analyzing the influence of the repetitive mining in lateral orientation upon the mountain surface movement and deformation, the results show that: (1) Repetitive mining in lateral orientation makes the maximum subsidence value of mountainous surface increase; Repetitive mining in lateral orientation has changed the subsidence curve form, and the subsidence curve from "V" shape after the initial mining stability turns into irregular "W" shape; Subsidence curve still has the characteristics of mountainous surface movement; Repetitive mining in lateral orientation has a great influence on the surface subsidence of the area which locates in the repetitive mining in lateral orientation area, but it has little influence on the surface subsidence of the area which locates in the initial mining gob.(2)Repetitive mining in lateral orientation on the mountainous surface has different influence on the crosspitch and the tendency of horizontal movement: repetitive mining in lateral orientation on the mining subsidence area which produced by initial mining has no influence on the crosspitch; The site all observation points in tendency are significantly influenced by the repetitive mining in lateral orientation.
