摘要

It is assumed that two seismic translational components are the stationary white noisy process. Based on the relationship between the translational and rotational components in frequent domain, the modal combination method for earthquake-resistant design of structures to multiple seismic excitations is presented in terms of theory of stochastic vibration taking into account the correlations of various components and the analytical formulas of correlated coefficients between the modes are given including the influence of multiple seismic ground motions. And then a practical modal combination formula resulting from above results is derived under two horizontal seismic components. Numerical results show that the approaches presented here are of enough accuracy.
