摘要

The properties of thermal sprayed alloy coatings are highly affected by the splat interfaces. NiCrBSi-Zr coating was prepared by atmospheric plasma spraying using NiCrBSi mixed with ZrH2 feedstock. NiCrBSi coating was also prepared under the same condition for comparison. The microstructure as well as the splat interfaces of the NiCrBSi and NiCrBSi-Zr coatings was analyzed. The friction and wear behaviors of both two coatings sliding against GCr15, ZrO2 and Si3N4 balls were comparatively investigated. The corrosion behaviors of both two coatings were also studied in 3.5% NaCl solution. The results show that the NiCrBSi-Zr coating (porosity of 0.6%) has a denser microstructure than the NiCrBSi coating (porosity of 2.3%). The interfaces in the NiCrBSi-Zr coating are free of oxide inclusions and cracks, presenting good inter-splat bonding. Owing to the improved inter-splat bonding, no friction and corrosion induced spalling was observed on the worn surface and corroded surface. The NiCrBSi-Zr coating exhibits better wear and corrosion resistance compared to the NiCrBSi coating.
