摘要

Based on the vectorial angular spectrum representation of electromagnetic beams starting from Maxwell's equations and the paraxial approximation, analytical expressions for the TE and TM terms of a linearly polarized Bessel-Gauss beam diffracted in the near field are derived. Effects of radial components, beam orders and styles of orbital angular momentum (OAM) distributions on the internal vectorial structures of the beam are separately analyzed by numerical examples. It is shown that the near-field distributions of the TE and TM terms of the beam are totally different from those studied for the far-field case. Within the near-field region, the propagating electric field components for TE and TM terms would no longer remain orthogonal to each other because of the emergence of z-component terms except for the incidence of zero-order Bessel-Gauss beam.
