In the cation of the title compound, C(38)H(40)N(10)(2+)center dot-2ClO(4)(-)center dot 2H(2)O, the cyclohexanediamine group has a twofold axis and two of the four pendant benzimidazole groups are protonated. There are hydrogen bonds and pi-pi interactions in the crystal structure.
