Analysis of the B+ -> J/psi a(1)(+)(1260) decay in a QCD factorization method

In this paper, we analyze the decay B+ -> J/psi a(1)(+) (1260) within a 'QCD factorization' method. The effective parameter a(i)(h) for helicity h = 0, +, - states receives different nonfactorizable contributions and hence they are helicity dependent, contrary to naive and generalized factorization where a(i)(h) is universal. In this decay, we consider two cases for the mass of the J/psi meson in this decay. First, the J/psi meson behaves as a light one compared to the B meson. Second, if we consider other limit in which m(J/psi)/m(b) is held fixed, then the mass of J/psi is taken into account. The branching ratios are calculated in these two cases. Under the first condition, the obtained results are in agreement with available experimental data relative to the second condition.
