摘要

Temperature is an important parameter in technical processes because almost all mechanical, electrical, magnetic, and optical properties as well as the selectivity in chemical reactors are temperature-dependent. Fiber-optic measurement technology enables minimally invasive, simultaneous temperature detection at numerous measuring points along a sensor fiber and is used to record temperature and strain profiles. This article discusses its application in heterogeneous gas phase catalysis in fixed-bed reactors.
