In the title compound, C(15)H(12)Cl(2)N(2)O(3)center dot CH(3)OH, the Schiff base molecule is nearly planar, with a dihedral angle of 4.5 (2)degrees between the two benzene rings. An intramolecular O-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen bond is observed. The methanol solvent molecule is linked to the Schiff base molecule through intermolecular N-H center dot center dot center dot O and O-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds.
