摘要

The flow pattern characteristics of a one-strand tundish have been studied using both water and mathematical models. Series of different arrangements by orthogonal designing were investigated. Instead of having to test all possible combinations like the factorial design, an orthogonal experimental design technique has been adopted, which is an efficient method for quickly generating useful information on key separation variables in the mathematical. Comparing the RTD curves, inclusion separation, qualitatively velocity assess and tracer dispersion experiment, it can be found that the tundish equipped with a turbulence inhibitor has a great effect on the flow field and the inclusion separation when compared with the model use or no use of the turbulent inhibitor.
