摘要

This paper presents a method for generating a two-dimensional region with large numbers of randomly distributed star domains. The parametric equation of a star domain is firstly described, based on which the distance between a point and a star domain can be efficiently computed by solving an optimization problem. The random putting-in model is then presented and used to implement the numerical simulation of concrete specimens. Numerical results show that the proposed method can generate simulation of specimens in which the content of gravel aggregate is higher than 80% and the content of crushed-stone aggregate is higher than 75% respectively in relatively short time.
