摘要

A phenanthro[9,10-d]imidazole derivative (1) that was modified by amino diacetate was designed and synthesized. Compound 1 expressed a dual fluorescence response over a broad pH range with double turn-on signals, which were even observed by the naked eye, for use as a ratiometric fluorescent probe. These results indicated that probe 1 could be valuable for studying the strong acid or strong base pH scale. Moreover, these recognitions were not disturbed by the presence of other metal ions in the water. In addition, test strip experiments containing probe 1 were carried out, and the results indicated that this method has the potential to be used in a low-cost, practical and efficient test kit for pH determination.
