the title complex, [ Co( C5H3N3)(2)( H2O)(2)], prepared in a one-pot synthesis, the Co-II atom (site symmetry (1) over bar), is coordinated by four N atoms from two 5-( 2-pyrazinyl) tetrazolate ligands and by two water molecules in a distorted trans-CoO2N4 octahedral geometry. A supramolecular network is formed via intermolecular O-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen bonds.
