Distributed Fiber Temperature Sensing System has been used to detect temperature in real time and safety in the field of oil chemical plant and electric power recently Due to the problem of environmental interference and the weak of sensing signal it is necessary to extract weak signal from strong noise An adaptive threshold extraction method based on wavelet entropy was presented in this paper the temperature signal including noise was processed by wavelet and noise was removed the useful information was extracted By comparison to the soft threshold method both the temperature detecting and the determination of the temperature measuring position are better than the soft-threshold methods.
