摘要

To investigate the performance of flow boiling in tubes, software FLUENT was used to simulate the flow boiling in a smooth tube having 7.0 mm outside diameter (OD). At the same time, visible experiments were conducted for both smooth tubes and micro-fin tubes having 7.0 mm OD. The refrigerant used was R22. The tests were carried out at 220 kg/m2s mass flux, 7°C evaporation temperature, 15-20 inlet vapor quality and 5-6°C outlet superheat degree. In both the numerical simulation and visible experiment, there were swirling flow and flow pulse. The mechanism and the effects on the heat transfer were discussed.
