A Low Profile Linearly Polarized Patch Antenna with Wide Beam-width in 1-41-plane

Based on the equivalent theory, a novel patch antenna which can he applied to wide-angle scanning phased array antenna was proposed. Compared with the other wide beam-width antennas, it has low profile which is about 0.03 A. The size of the antenna is about 0.3P0.32 A. The 3dB-gain fluctuation of the proposed antenna with an infinite ground is about 180 in E-plane, and 140 with a finite ground which is 64% broader than conventional patch antennas (854 This structure is easy to fabricate.
