In this paper, we study the stability of the standing waves u(omega)(t, x) = e(i omega t)phi(omega)(x) for the Klein-Gordon-Hartree equation @@@ partial derivative(2)u/partial derivative t(2) - Delta u + u -(vertical bar x vertical bar(-gamma vertical bar)u vertical bar(2)) u = 0, t is an element of R+, x is an element of R-3, 0 < gamma < 3. @@@ It is shown that the set G(omega) of ground states with frequency omega is stable for root 1/3-gamma < omega < 1.
