摘要

Bioactive materials such as apatite and collagen are often added onto the surface of the porous poly(lactic acid) (PLA) scaffold to improve its surface property. Using ice-hydroxyapatite hybrid composite particles as porogens and coating carriers, the porous PIA scaffold with hydroxyapatite (HA) coating was directly fabricated by a novel porogen leaching/freeze-drying method. The SEM result indicates the coated scaffold remains the porous structure while EDX and TEM results confirm the existence of the HA coating. Compared with the porous PLA scaffold fabricated using ice particles as porogens, the water absorption rate of the prepared porous PLA scaffold coated with HA improves significantly while the porosity decreases slightly. The result indicates the as-prepared scaffold is suitable for tissue engineering.
