摘要
This paper investigates new reconstructing and measuring methods of dental cast with a special laser scanning data. It first describes a new 3D reconstruction and display method of dental model, and presents an algorithm of organizing and indexing large-scale scattered triangle faces with regular cube grids. Then, it proposes a real-time and stable intersection algorithm between a line and a dental surface, which is used to measure the dental surface. Finally, a 3D computer-aided reconstructing and measuring system of dental cast is developed by using these algorithms.
