A tetranuclear copper (II) complex with pyrazole-3,5-dicarboxylate ligands: synthesis, characterization and electrochemical properties

<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title> <jats:p>A tetranuclear copper (II) complex with pyrazole-3,5-dicarboxylate ligands (pdc<jats:sup>3−</jats:sup>), [Me<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>NH<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>]<jats:sub>4</jats:sub>[Cu<jats:sub>4</jats:sub>(pdc)<jats:sub>4</jats:sub>], was synthesized using solvothermal and metal oxidation routes and characterized by elemental analysis, infrared, thermogravimetry/differential thermal analysis, and room-temperature magnetic measurements. The structure of the complex was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. It comprises dimethylammonium cations and complex anions containing four Cu<jats:sup>2+</jats:sup> cations. The crystal structure is stabilized by N–H···O hydrogen bonds. In addition, the electrochemical behavior was studied.</jats:p>
