摘要

Persimmon powder was chemically modified by acetone and sulfuric acid to obtain a persimmon absorbent. The absorbent and original persimmon powder were characterized by infrared spectroscopy. The effects of various parameters like initial solution pH, temperature and reaction time on adsorption efficiencies of Cd2+ were studied. Adsorption kinetics, equilibrium isotherm and adsorbent recycling were also investigated. The results show that the modification increases the number of active functional groups for binding heavy metal ions and reduces the solubility of original persimmon powder. The adsorption process follows a pseudo-second order equation. The experimental isotherm data fit well both in the Langmuir and Freundlich equations. Maximum adsorption capacity of Cd2+ on the chemically modified persimmon absorbent is 82.78 mg/g.
