摘要

The goal of replication is to enhance reliability of files. However, a mass of replicas occupies a lot of storage resources, and then has a negative effect on P2P network performance. In order to make the best use of storage resources, a replica replacement strategy based on survival value is presented. Using unbiased grey model, replica activity is forecasted. The survival value of replica is obtained by integrating the replica activity, the recovery cost and the characteristics of peer saving replica. It decides whether to replace replicas or not. The simulation results show that the unbiased grey model can improve accuracy of forecast in a certain degree. Besides, for the factors considered are more completely, replicas cannot be blindly replaced, and the thrashing phenomenon can be reduced.
