摘要

The incorporation of spectral resolution in time resolved Four Wave Mixing spectroscopy provides important information for the interpretation of the observed spectra. We demonstrate experimentally a new method whereby the combined time and frequency resolved information may be obtained within a single laser pulse. The method is based on Phase Matching Spectral Filtering for the tuning of the generated nonlinear signal, which in turn utilizes the constraints imposed by strict phase matching of parallel input beams in our geometrical arrangement. The measurements were performed on a simple molecule (CH2Br2), and are used for identification of molecular degrees of freedom not otherwise possible in pure time resolved methods.
