In the new economic development period, "filial piety" is the core of the cultural value, as the traditional cultural system and social ideology of the Chinese nation. However, universal value system from stories of filial piety, which are often heard and well remembered, like lying on ice for carp etc., gradually fade from the population of college students. Especially for young people, the inheritance of Chinese filial piety culture needs to be strengthened. In view of this kind of phenomenon, this article first carries on the elaboration to the connotation and historical origin of "filial piety" culture, causing readers to be able to understand the origin of "devotion to parents and loyalty to friends" and "standards of filial piety". Secondly, from the perspective of college students, this paper briefly analyzes the cognitive attitude and behavior of traditional filial piety culture, and reorganizes to find out some existing problems. Finally, based on the above problems, this paper puts forward a new train of thought for college students to inherit filial piety culture, in order to provide some reference for the development of traditional filial piety culture, the promotion of spiritual values, and the promotion of social and economic development.
