摘要
The number of elderly surgical patients will be increasing in Italy. Slowly, anesthesiologists are developing the expertise to care for these patients. The information available to apply to these cases is now the topic of a number of anesthesia textbooks dedicated CO the elderly. In this article, we review some of the more recent findings and provide some tips to help guide the care of elderly patients. It is hoped that practitioners will use this information to improve the care of these patients and conduct additional research to further improve care in the future.
